BIO :  The band came together in late 2001. The members were friends long before starting to play together. Andreas and Michalis were friends from their teens, and had already had two bands together. Vishy arrived in Greece in '93, where he met Michalis and eventually through him met Andreas. They had discussed the possibility of playing together, and by 2001, when Cassi joined in all the pieces fell into place. The influences of each member belong to a wide range of tastes and experiences.

Cassi, the bands singer and lyricist, was born and brought up in England, and by 1995 when she left, was an established actor and theatre director, as well as the writer of a few successful radio plays. With her international touring experience and deep knowledge of stagecraft, she took to the band thing like a seasoned professional. Influences: anything from Gospel, Reggae, Folk, The Clash, The Jam, show tunes and so much more.

Andreas, guitarist, poet and painter, was born in Piraeus, and after a short time in the US, returned to Greece. In the 80's he hooked up with his good friend Michalis Karayiannis to form a band called Paranihides. Later they formed the band Gobidibu, which made a great impression on the Athens underground scene. Perhaps too progressive for Greece at that time, they eventually broke up.  Influences: The Birthday Party, Joy Division, Captain Beefheart, Tom Waits, Residents, Art Bear, Bauhaus...

Vishy, born in Tehran, Iran, he left his country in '75, to live in England. As a photographer and graphic designer, he worked and travelled, ending up in Athens permanently in '94. He started playing bass as a hobby in the '80s, while living in London. Playing with a wide range of musicians, from Latin to post punk and Jazz, and with a band called the Mullahs. He made the music for a production of UBU Roi, a play which he designed the stage and costumes for, and has also worked as an art director and set/production designer. Influences: Joy Division, Captain Beefheart, Slap Happy, Tom Waits, Gong, Charles Mingus, Fela Kuti, Brecht & Weil, The Clash, Tricky...

Michalis, born in Piraeus, he fell in love with drums and percussion, and studied them from a young age, doing workshops with some of the best drummers in Greece, he took a great interest in Jazz, and was one of the first in Greece to discover the Birthday Party. Eventually he introduced Andreas to punk music, and formed their band Paranihides, going on to form Gobidibu. He is an active photojournalist contributing to every news paper and periodical in Greece. Influences: The Birthday Party, Art Ensemble of Chicago, Modern Jazz, Tom Waits, Captain Beefheart...
