BIO :  Gloriphon were formed in October 2003 in Athens by two members from Alternative Subway and subway. Originally as a duet , Gloriphon started experimenting and improvising using guitars, drums, metallophone and pre-recorded samples (which were inspired by literature , poetry , films and generic sounds). In May 2003 Gloriphon welcome a pianist , as a third member , while in 2005 the band after adding a second guitarist and a temporary orbiting bassist , started experimenting with some vocals.

Inspired by the 60's psychedelic rock, post-rock, and abstract electronic music , they manage to create an ambient soundtrack atmosphere with their instrumental (at most part) compositions. Their live appearances are usually accompanied by visual projections ; dreamy images, photostories, scenery, ready to travel and haunt the souls of the audience.

They have appeared in many live events in Athens , participating in the experimental festival "MOUSIKO PSIFIDOTO" (organized by small music theater and Thision theatre) , Indie Free festival 2004 , Fragma Kalohoriou Festival at Thessaloniki (with 9 other bands) , 2nd Ipeon Rock Festival ( which left the band with very bad impressions) at Samos Island with bands like Raining Pleasure and Blues bug . Their most important live came when they got to open for The Earthbound at Gagarin 205 music space in April 2005.

They completed a demo-cd in 2003 entitled 'a silent spring' and have already recorded their new material during September 2005 .
