The veterans Yellow Devil Sauce hit us with their second full length, co-released with our friends at Catch the Soap productions, and TFK productions. With a polished hard on production and uber catchy heavy alternative tunes, this albums has already made some buzz in the underground circles and is bound to produce some YDS classics! Duke Abduction
Prog-rock psychedelia of the new century. This quartet fuses the conscious with the unconscious, jazzy-funky prog forms with a punk edge. Their debut album is to be released on the 28th of January 2010. The fact that the album manages to preserve the band's energy, expand it with more soundscapes is mostly due its producer, Dj Blend (aka mishkin) an already highly respected producer in the greek scene and owner of the lovely indie label Cast-a-Blast.

Biri Biri
Trumpets, sax, woodblocks, bongos, congas, timbales, shakers, cowbell, cymbals, cajon, pandero, darbouka, small Chinese gong, frame drum, guitars, bass, drums, a rudal heater and a voice have just managed to fit in the first biribiri album! An album that marks the birth of the (definitely not cool but a spicy/sizzlin' equivalent should go here...)!

If you don't really know, Spinalonga Records is a non-profit effort organized by people who play and listen to music, so we dont make money out of this. We are organized in an horizontal manner and try to promote anything that sounds pleasing to our ears...

Misuse - Misuse (2008)This five-piece post-heavy rock band has already formed a fan base well before the release of their debut album. Their claim to fame includes the fact that Mogwai chose them as a support act for their live date in Greece back in 2003. No plug-ins were used in this vintage-instruments-only explosive debut (recorded at Unreal Studios) that features Hammond organ, Obberheim synth, electroacoustic piano, celesta, vibraphone, violin, viola and cello. This release sold more than 1000 records in the first three months. |
