During the 7 weeks of lent, starting on February 27 until April 14, I will be recording a new piece of music everyday, which will be available for free download through soundcloud. I did not start this ambitious project because of some religious belief. I consider these 7 weeks, which are set according to the first full moon after the spring equinox, to have a particular symbolic meaning, as they mark the transition from winter to spring. Through this project I am also interested in exploring the role of rituals in music and the way we perceive sound as matter.
