With the release of their first full-length album by Run Devil Run Records, Jane Doe are getting interviewed. This fairly new band, hailing from Thessaloniki has already made an impression with its memorable live shows and their decision to release their first album online for free before they release it propely through Run Devil Run! The official release date of their new album is 20th of December.

Wednesday 7th January /// Hey Ho Ho hO Spinalongians. This year (4 years until the world's total and painful destruction) was a year that had a lot of everything. Lots of fun, loads of work, several gigs, 3+1 cd releases, one fat guy jumping of a building, one strange guy with a weird beard selling the truth of God and one "misguided" bullet. Throughout these bizarre happenings we managed to fulfill some of our dreams and goals, by releasing some wonderful cds and by organizing some great gigs.
We are very proud for releasing "Radio Adult : slow songs, cheese & wine" by Semen Of The Sun along with The Lab Records, "Art Naïve" by Modrec along with Bantha Records ,"Misuse" by Misuse with Puzzlemusic Records and of course "Space Cakes" by Sugah Galore with Feedback Sound.
We also set up some gigs as always, but this year was special for us because we managed to bring two bands from abroad . The Gevende gig was a night to remember, a great party with our friends from Turkey. Brant Bjork & The Bros was just a dream coming true. We are talking about the drummer of Kyuss, a true desert boogieman…Good Times!
So this year is coming to an end, but we still have some good "tricks" to pull off. First of all we will celebrate the release of "Space Cakes" , the debut album by Sugah Galore , with a gig in January. More releases by great greek underground bands are yet to come. Plus some more suprises … But we'll have the time for that later on…
Until then, take your time, Keep your Cool, live your lives in your own terms and of course enjoy the semen, eat a lot of space cakes, don't misuse your energy or be naïve. Peace and love… ..or maybe just love.
Monday 24th November /// Five days left for what is probably gonna be our proudest live show so far! Brant Bjork of Kyuss and Fu Manchu fame live in Athens !!!! WOOoo0o0tt! In the meantime, this magnificent band, called Modrec is embarking on its first greek mini tour. Their first stop, this Wednesday the 26th at Kinky in Athens, and pretty soon at other places in Greece... more info on those boys here....
Thursday 30th October /// Yep, this is definitely a year to remember...Spinalonga Records proudly presents Brant Bjork & The Bros live at An Club ,on the 29th of November. The legendary desert boogieman(ex Kyuss, Fu Manchu) will rock our heads off. Our very own Semen Of The Sun and 1000Mods will make sure that the place will get hot and the Mushroom Freaks will deliver the dj sounds . Keep Your Cool!
Friday 3rd October /// This is definitely going to be a good month for us... We are proud to present Semen of the Sun live on the 17th of October at An club. Tuesday 09th September /// Heyho people, Spinalonga records is proud to present Cube, Monovine and No Label live @ RODEO club (Xeyden 34, Plateia Viktorias), on Thursday , 18th of September. Get ready for an alternative/ heavy rock opus, that you can find only in the greek underground . The gig will be opened by the almighty No Label, with their devastating a la Seatlle rock. Fierce Incalids return from hot climates, with brand new material and a brand new name??!2#?!! Monovine are up next with their raw, intensive alternative sound. Get ready for an awesome live experience produced by this power trio. Last but not least, Cube will appear on stage with the notorious Cyprian guitar master Tsalako Tsalakou. Tune in, if you enjoy Seattle sounds, mixed up with hardcore funk (whatever that is) and alternative rock Their first record is almost ready and the rumor has it that they will be playing Frank Sinatra covers. We haven't updated the site for a long time, but the spinalonga team is working on several issues .First of all we are designing the brand new super spinalonga site. We are also planning some special events, that will take place during the following months. Wednesday 7th May /// Next Spinalonga Show : Next friday!!! Planet Of Zeus, one of the heaviest rocking bands around, will celebrate the release of their debut album, released by Casket/Copro Records from UK, in a special event @ Rodeo Club! The show's openers will be Madleaf (also getting ready to release their first full length pretty soon!) with their dark, grunge influenced hard rock, and For What Is Worth with their hardcore/metalcore hybrid. Rumours circulate that Planet of Zeus will be playing some old favorites for their die-hard fans...a little more than one week to find out!
