Spinalonga Records' ultimate goal is to make a local rock scene in greece. Following a do-it-yourself route, Spinalonga was conceived as an one shot alternative/stoner rock compilation but soon enough the people involved expressed their true wishes. The idea was to bring the bands together, help them promote their music as far as they can but not in a commercialized fashion.

Spinalonga's first steps were small; today it has already gathered enough bands and released three compilations that range from hard rock and stoner to indie to post rock. The key influence of all of those bands is the alternative rock of the 90's, and this is the core of the Spinalonga aesthetics.

The defining element that makes Spinalonga Records different from other similar efforts is thats it's run by members of the bands and not by individuals from the music industry.

Spinalonga sends an open call to any alternative/stoner rock band in greece that shares the same dream of having a vivid scene to contact us.

Spinalonga Records has organized numerous concerts in Athens and lately Thessalonica with music that ranges from Ambient to Indie Pop, Funk Rock and Alternative Rock to Stoner, Heavy rock.
